The biggest decision in leadership isn’t picking staff or creating a strategy. The biggest decision isn’t about people or numbers.
The biggest decision is deciding to lead.
Don’t wait for someone else to do the right thing, to cast vision, to make it better, or to hold you accountable. Don’t assume someone else will go first, pick up the phone, or include. Decide it can be you, and decide to lead.
Nobody drifts uphill, towards health, or into leading.
It’s difficult. There is more guarantee of resistance than success, and of exhaustion than applause. So, decide.
Decide to lead. If you don’t decide to lead, you’ve decided not to.
